Some of those barriers include fear of leaving the home, issues with transportation, busy lifestyles preventing time to visit providers, and location of patient to provider.
Mental Health DT intends on breaking down barriers by providing mental health prescribing via telehealth/virtual.

Something about the founding provider & the company,
James (Jim) is a veteran of the US Army and has been in the medical field since 1995. He is nationally certified as a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Persons with mental health conditions are truly underserved and lack availability to resources which led to the founding of Mental Health Diagnostics and TelePrescribing (MentalHealthDT). Jim realizes care via technology is not the complete solution for many people, but MentalHealthDT can provide a desperately needed access to mental healthcare.

About Prescribing
Your Nurse Practitioner will use current and past symptoms, patient history, medical conditions, diagnoses, guidelines, and research to find the most reasonable medicine to treat your symptoms. Due to state regulations, we cannot prescribe controlled substances at this time. (Benzodiazepines, Stimulants, or Suboxone). No worries, there are plenty of different classifications of medications at our disposal.
About Therapy
Disclosure: Medication prescribing is our main assest. Clients are not obligated to do therapy with medication prescribing. In some instances, brief supportive therapy can be offered to individuals based on their particular needs.
About Procedures
It is within our providers scope of practice to perform procedures related to your mental health care such as:
· lab work
· some genetics testing
· referral to outside sources for further evaluation
Genetic testing depends on type of insurance. There is a service fee of $25 to our company for initiating genetic testing. Please ask how this works.
